The Board (Accounting Authority) is the highest decision-making structure of the SETA, and its members are appointed by the Minister of Higher Education, Training, and Science and Innovation every five (5) years. It is vital for leading and applying corporate governance principles. The Board is responsible for directing and administering the SETA’s affairs in a transparent, fair, and responsible manner. It is fully accountable for the SETA’s performance. The Board has established four committees with delegated duties to support it in carrying out the oversight role of ensuring that the organisation’s activities are managed consistently with the SETA’s ethical leadership and values. The roles and responsibilities of the Board and each Sub-Committee are set out in the SETA’s Constitution and Delegation of Authority Policy. The FoodBev SETA Board, appointed by the Department of Higher Education and Training, is responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring good governance across the organisation.
